In December 2021, the road freight transport company Disfrimur achieved, for the second time, the Seal of the Registration of footprint, compensation and CO2 absorption projects in the calculation and reduction modality.
This badge reflects the efforts of companies in the calculation and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions generated by their activity. By registering its carbon footprint, Disfrimur promised to comply with a reduction plan, which has been rigorously checked and reviewed by technicians from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, who have confirmed that the transport company complies with strict criteria that demonstrates a decreasing trend of its emissions.
“At Disfrimur we are aware of the importance of decarbonisation in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Proof of this are the projects we are working on, such as the study of vehicle aerodynamics; the refrigerated truck without diesel; the plug-in hybrid truck; the Mediterranean electric corridor; the electric 3-axle vehicle and the use of alternative fuels such as electricity, hydrogen or biogas”, pointed out the general director of Disfrimur, Juan Jesús Sánchez.
In short, this seal constitutes a further step in the “Invisible Transport” strategy with which Disfrimur seeks to optimize the relationship between productivity and sustainability as much as possible. In this way, the road transport company seeks to minimize the impact that its activity can generate on the environment and on its stakeholders.
