Multitemp GreenSOR REFRIGERATED SEMI-TRAILER with SorConnect

the first multi-temperature refrigerated semi-trailer 100% designed with GREEN energy.

 

The semi-trailer is part of a clean energy road project – and therefore also includes an electric tractor unit – developed in 2 phases. The aim of the project, in this PHASE 1, is to complete a 400km route without fossil fuels. Only with the energy generated by the solar panels installed on its roof and with the support of external recharging. This prototype has been equipped with 100% electric TK A-500e Spectrum Whisper Pro multi-temperature cooling equipment, whose power supply combines, as we said, batteries/solar panels on the roof. In a second stage, PHASE 2, we get more power supply to batteries with the paneling of the sides that will reduce the charging time and number of external recharges in the logistics bases.

In addition, the SEMI has been equipped with SorConnect – our approved thermography with disconnectable probes and fleet management add-on for easy management, one-off payment and compatibility with other applications. Also with the new TK A-500e Spectrum Whisper Pro refrigeration unit, which Thermo King is presenting for the first time at this year’s IAA 2024.

 

Finally, equipping the semi with the new iTEBS from ZF, Alcoa aluminium wheels and Airtab technology from Knorr-Bremse helps aerodynamically to improve the overall performance and therefore the VECTO coefficient.
