The reliability and grip in driving as well as the tare weight are the points that Grupo Perea highlights of the SOR refrigerated trailers.
Grupo Perea, a family business located in the city of San Bartolomé in Alicante, which started its activity in 1963 with international projection, currently has its own fleet of more than 240 refrigerated vehicles, completely renewed and adapted to the environmental regulations.
More than 170 of those ‘semi’ refrigerated trailers are SOR. In this interview, Commercial Director of the company Juan José Perea shares the key points in the decision making process.
“Anyone saying that the price is not an important matter is not being completely honest. But once this issue is overcome, there are many other factors that make the full operation more or less profitable. Thus, the essentials that cause the balance to tilt from one side or the other include the tare weight of the vehicle, the insulation coefficient that will allow saving in fuel consumption, helping the driver to feel at ease with the cargo.”
Currently, more than 170 vehicles in your fleet are SOR. Why?
We are convinced that polyester is the best solution for our type of transport. The insulation coefficient, the tare weight… As a Spanish specialist in GRP refrigeration vehicles, SOR offers all the guarantees.
Based on your working approach, we assume that you give great importance to customer service. Also, like SOR, you give your customers a personalised treatment… What can you explain about this new multi-temperature groupage service you have recently launched?
“In recent years, we have consolidated our position as one of the land logistics operators with the greatest projection. That’s thanks to, among other reasons, the fact that we always want to get further.We have launched a 36 h international express groupage with daily traffic. That means delivering merchandise anywhere in Europe within 1.5 days. Our technical team takes care to detail of the location of the merchandise to guarantee the compatibility of the same within the ‘semi’ refrigerated trailer, ensuring that the multi-temperature transport gives flexibility to the load too.”
